Message from MLE David in Dublin

David, Mr. Leather Europe 2025, at the Dublin Leather weekend, announced from the stage the foundation of ECMC.

Good evening. Thank you for allowing us a few minutes of your time to recognise a milestone for the ECMC. I’m David, your Mr Leather Europe 2025.

For those of you who don’t know, my title of Mr Leather Europe has been organised for the last 40 years by the ECMC – the European Confederation of Motorcycle Clubs.

Since its inception in 1974, the ECMC has acted as an umbrella group bringing together leather and fetish clubs from across the continent. Leathermen of Ireland joined in 2023, and around the room I see representatives from other clubs who are a part of our brotherhood: including from Italy, The Netherlands and Sweden amongst others.

Over the last couple of years we have been working to further develop the ECMC. Improving it’s relevance in the current climate and increasing the benefits offered to club members, like yourselves.

So today, I am excited to announce that this afternoon the ECMC Secretariat officially signed the founding document – legally recognising the ECMC and laying the groundwork for our future.

We are thrilled to share this milestone here with you in Dublin, and with the entire European Leather and Fetish community.

A big thank you to everyone who has been an active member since the creation of ECMC and to those who have worked on the new framework and documents over the past months. We look forward to a bright future for the Confederation and all it’s member clubs.
